1995: Checkpoint 95
A project of the Stadtwerkstatt for Ars Electronica 1995 - to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the end of the Second World War, the end of the Cold War and in critical appropriation of the emerging new media and technologies. A live TV programme was produced in Linz, New York and Moscow, focusing on the historic checkpoints on the Nibelungen Bridge with telepresence, satellite technology and robotics.
